Assistant Athletic Director

Villa Julie College (VJC) is a rapidly growing and dynamic independent
college with a career-focused liberal arts curriculum. Located just north of
Baltimore, with a student body of approximately 3,000 and 1,200 resident
students, VJC offers master's and bachelor's degrees and accelerated adult
programs.

VJC has an immediate opening for a full-time (12 months) Associate Athletic
Director/Sports Information Director and Athletic Marketing. The successful
candidate for the position will serve as the primary liaison with the media
and other sports information end-users for the 20 men's and women's varsity
sports while functioning as a member of the athletic department's senior
management team.

Responsibilities: must have the ability to handle all aspects of sports
information and athletic marketing; including but not limited to: design and
maintenance of athletic web site, production of media guides and game
programs, recruitment and supervision of student assistants, the development
of athletic marketing (i.e. billboards, radio ads, news print ads); the
writing of several department publications; management of press box/table,
statistics and reporting of results; recording and archiving of school
records and serving as primary athletic department liaison with the media,
NCAA, and each of our member conferences. Additional duties to include
management of the Assistant Sports Information Director, the Graduate
Assistant in Sports Information and student employees assigned to the Sports
Information office. The successful candidate will be available to travel
with teams and work nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary. Other
duties will be assigned by the Athletic Director.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
Experience with web design, Stat-crew and Adobe Software is preferred.
Computer literacy required.
